Ratliff Brings Extensive Healthcare Technology Expertise to SureScripts,
Will Oversee All Technology Development for the Company
Alexandria, VA – November 04, 2002 – SureScript Systems, Inc., a company dedicated to enhancing patient care and medical practice by connecting the nation’s 55,000 independent and chain pharmacies with physicians for the purpose of electronic prescribing, announced today that Rick Ratliff has joined the company as executive vice president, technology. Mr. Ratliff will oversee all technology development, implementation, customer support, and technology advancement efforts for SureScripts. Mr. Ratliff comes to SureScripts from HEALTHvision Inc., an eHealth Application Service Provider, where he was co-founder and senior vice president. He will report to Kevin Hutchinson, chief executive officer.

Mr. Ratliff brings more than twenty years of technology and business development experience to SureScripts, with the most recent 10 years focused on the healthcare technology industry. Mr. Ratliff joined HEALTHvision Inc. in 1999 where he created the original business and strategic plan for the company’s launch. His responsibilities included managing the company’s sales and marketing organization, developing and implementing business plans for customer relationship management services and eHEALTH consulting services, and creating the eCommerce strategy and business plan.
Mr. Ratliff has also served as the vice president, healthcare information technologies, for VHA, Inc. While at VHA, he managed and directed e-business solutions development, operations, sales, and marketing. Mr. Ratliff began his career two decades ago as a systems engineer at IBM Corporation and advanced through a succession of management positions with increasing responsibility. Mr. Ratliff received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa and his Bachelors of Science from the University of Oklahoma.
