WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2004--Health IT Certification, www.HealthITCertification.com, announced today the launch of two new categories of individual healthcare professional certification, Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) and Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT) and the availability of onsite and online training in these fields.
Health IT Certification provides professional training and certification for those responsible for planning, selecting, implementing, and managing electronic health records (EHR) and other health information technology (HIT). Today's EHR and HIT applications are focused on the core business of health care: providing information and decision support for clinicians at the point of care. Such clinical transformation requires new knowledge and skills for all stakeholders. Whether you are a practice administrator, information technology steering committee member, information systems analyst, or clinician evaluating electronic prescribing systems, clinical messaging, electronic health records, or any of the myriad of other options -- making the right decisions can be a daunting task.
ONSITE TRAINING AND TESTING
A distinguished advisory panel and faculty have pooled their experience to create a training program that is practical, offering tools that directly relate to on-the-job needs. The CPEHR and CPHIT certification examinations are offered on the afternoon of the last day.
