MedManagement strikes deal with Blue Cross
Birmingham-based MedManagement LLC's QualityConnectMD is the first practice management system to fully integrate with Blue Cross and Blue Shield's InfoSolutions e-Prescribing service.
InfoSolutions e-Prescribing allows healthcare providers to use a Palm-OS compatible personal digital assistant to review medication history and refill or write prescriptions.
The collaboration makes it possible for QualityConnectMD clients to download their entire patient list to the PDA, enabling providers to automatically write prescriptions for all patients without loading them manually to the PDA.
"This is a huge advantage to QualityConnectMD providers because they can easily use this application to access all of their patients, which should save practices time and money," MedManagement chief operations officer Joan Ragsdale said in a written statement.
The InfoSolutions e-Prescribing application can be accessed at the InfoSolutions Web site.
Founded in 1995, MedManagement also offers QualitEscribe, a Web-based Electronic Dictation Management System.
