National Community Pharmacy Network Adds New Members to its Roster

ATLANTA, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NDCHealth Corporation (NYSE: NDC - News) today announced that the National Community Pharmacy Network (NCPN), the strategic pharmacy alliance spearheaded by NDCHealth, has added two new participating members, bringing the total number of represented pharmacies to more than 30,000.
The new NCPN members are: AccessHealth of McKesson Corp., a managed care organization serving more than 2,200 independent and small chain pharmacies, and TrueCare Pharmacy, a Midwest buying group representing 1,200 pharmacy store members.
Under the AccessHealth NCPN agreement, NDCHealth is a preferred provider for network services, including claims adjudication, claims editing services, reconciliation services, electronic prescription services and targeted messaging.
"Our NCPN membership is off to a great start and promises to deliver a positive impact to our member stores by creating access to new revenue streams," said Kevin Connor, vice president and general manager, AccessHealth. "Of particular interest to us was the funding and chasing mechanism offered in the ProviderPay(R) program, which strongly enhances our stores' existing reconciliation services. We believe this service and others will become an integral part of our overall managed care program."
Under the TrueCare NCPN agreement, TrueCare has endorsed NDCHealth's network solutions, including network claims adjudication, claims editing services, as well as other market support services.
