Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq: QVDX), a global software and vertical solution company, today announced that Purkinje, a leading provider of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software with evidence-based decision support, has purchased the QUOVADX Cloverleaf Integration Suite. The Cloverleaf(R) technology will be used in Purkinje's ASP software solutions, as a part of its application workflow, to conduct and facilitate HL7 and NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) standards-based data integration with its key vendors and partners, and with its practice management software. In addition, Purkinje will also include INSURENET(R) Direct revenue management software, a key component of the QUOVADX Cash Accelerator Suite, in its solutions to provide its customers HIPAA compliant eligibility validation for payer reimbursement and payment processing.

Purkinje, a leading e-Prescribing and EMR vendor, will leverage industry-leading Cloverleaf(R) HL7 integration tools to provide standardized access to critical patient data and integrate it into acute care and ambulatory practice management systems -- improving patient care and reducing duplicate data entry. This tight integration will allow Purkinje to go beyond simply automating clinical workflow, delivering context-specific, evidence-based decision support to busy clinicians.

In addition, QUOVADX technology will be used to integrate NCPDP and ANSI X12 standards, allowing Purkinje to enhance its electronic prescribing system workflow to reduce outpatient medication costs and improve the quality and cost of care. Using real-time eligibility and verification, QUOVADX Cash Accelerator will enable Purkinje to expand its solution functionality, providing electronic billing on behalf of its customers for the first time. This enhanced solution will enable Purkinje to achieve data integration with its customers', primarily small to medium physician's offices, practice management software, patient data flows and billing systems, to pull transactional data from disparate databases and create a HIPAA compliant ANSI 837 transaction for billing purposes. The new QUOVADX-enabled billing solution will help physician groups reduce administrative costs and increase their reimbursement substantially.

Implementation of QUOVADX technology will begin in early July and is expected to be completed and available to Purkinje customers in December 2005.
