Burgeoning information needs, skyrocketing costs, prevalent medical errors, well-informed and demanding consumers, and other pressures are forcing a transformation within the healthcare industry. As a practicing physician with 14 years of healthcare IT experience and a director of the American Medical Informatics Association, Sands will speak from his familiarity with the ways IT can improve processes, outcomes, and customer service.
