Healthvision Announces New Clinical Solution Suite 2.0; New Solutions Offer Physicians Flexibility via an ASP-Based Modular EMR
IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 2005--Healthvision, a leading health information technology company, today announced significant new product features for the new Clinical Solutions Suite 2.0. These innovative solutions offer an easy migration path to a full electronic medical record (EMR), according to Scott Decker, president and CEO of Healthvision.
Healthvision's new modular format gives physicians the flexibility to start automating their practices with either simple results viewing or implementation of a full EMR. The migration path means that an investment in any early stage solution is not lost as the physician decides to move closer to EMR functionality. Moreover, it allows the physicians to begin the migration process at their own pace.
New solutions including eRx, EMR Lite(TM) and full EMR are powered by Touchworks(TM), a clinical solutions platform provided by Allscripts. The new features are being tightly integrated into the Healthvision Interoperability Exchange announced earlier this year. The Exchange is designed specifically to create an interconnected, comprehensive electronic health record of both inpatient and ambulatory data. That data is then delivered to everyone on a patient's care team either through their EMR applications or through Web-based viewers. Healthvision's architecture insures private and secure data exchange while providing a patient-centric data repository from multiple sources. Healthvison is committed to working with EMR vendors to extend the value of interoperability to the entire provider team. EMR vendors are encouraged to join the exchange, which requires a certification process. For more information, go to www.healthvision.com.
"With these new solutions and our continued commitment to build an environment of collaborative care, we are in an excellent position to provide the most affordable solutions to help build connected communities and RHIOs," said Decker. "And with our streamlined installation options, we reduce the time spent in the implementation process and have physicians quickly and easily connected."
The new Clinical Solution Suite 2.0 will continue to include some of the sought after Healthvision solutions such as Referral Management and Secure Patient Messaging. In addition, as an ASP provider Healthvision offers a solution that requires neither costly hardware nor software to install the product in the physician's offices.
