GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 2005--Steve Groover has joined HealthTrans, a pharmacy benefit administrator, as chief operating officer (COO). He replaces Louis B. Hutchison as COO, who has held the dual roles of president and COO. Hutchison continues to serve as president.

Groover brings more than 20 years of experience to the daily operations of HealthTrans. For the past 11 years, Groover has served in various roles with NDCHealth Corporation (NYSE:NDC - News) and eRx Network, both transaction based products and services organizations. While at NDCHealth he was general manager and vice president of pharmacy systems and services, vice president of healthcare data management, and vice president of pharmacy systems and services product management. At eRx Network Groover was responsible for industry relations and marketing. Groover is a registered pharmacist with more than 20 years of experience in retail pharmacy with the Eckerd Drug Company where he was corporate manager of third party administration.

Groover has extensive experience in technology, especially pharmacy systems and transaction-based products and services. His accomplishments include establishing the pre and post edit service in 1995, which has since become an industry-wide solution for the retail pharmacy market. Groover participates in a number of industry organizations leading various committees and boards, including serving as the 2002-2001 chair of the National Council of Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP).
